Generally, it's a very successful operation statistically, with a 96% success rate. Unfortunately, I fell into the 4% range. Such is life. I'm glad I can come to your site and enjoy some "down close" picture taking. ;-)Butchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09481663364693052582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12541532.post-67517540081772744932008-05-14T17:11:00.000-04:002008-05-14T17:11:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10556860299477514075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12541532.post-27465069983257056562008-05-14T17:07:00.000-04:002008-05-14T17:07:00.000-04:00Fantastic! I was wearing a purple shirt today, and as I walked around in Park Slope, Brooklyn, I kept seeing almost exactly the violet shade all over the place. Other people's clothes, window displays, posters, window boxes (there are some flowers, petunias I think, that are spectacular), it was just everywhere. I'd love to know why my eye was noticing it today more than usual.Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10556860299477514075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12541532.post-52209679319125598592008-05-14T12:01:00.000-04:002008-05-14T12:01:00.000-04:00Sorry to hear about your knee, Butch. I would be taking some very different photos in that position, myself (and you shouldn't think that I DON'T look at my pictures later and sometimes wonder just what it was I was aiming for, anyway...)

For now, like Patrick and his violets, I just love to get right down on the ground with those beautiful flowers and count my blessings that I can!Greghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14337889899066280559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12541532.post-25176656793057053002008-05-14T11:01:00.000-04:002008-05-14T11:01:00.000-04:00I am amazed how close you can get to these low-lyi...I am amazed how close you can get to these low-lying flowers. I can not kneel or squat with an artifical knee and I try and get as close as I can with the camera hoping that the object I am photographing, is actually in the picture.

This group of pictures with the sun playing on their leaves is very nice.
