The cable guy only JUST left and I was already checking blog comments as he headed down the stairs...but I could quit any time I wanted, really. ; )

Java, by now it can't be a surprise what a hearty and resilient bunch we pansies are!

Robin, actually living is the only real choice that makes any sense--thanks for your wonderful comments, they always bring a smile to my face.

Afod, I am trying to pace myself, as I agree that staying healthy's the best plan. But it's hard to sit still, as I mentioned, too.

Jess, I would say that things are as well as can be expected... perhaps a little better, even. I'm not without my low moments, but those are always a part of life, eh?

Patrick, I'm just learning this whole cultural thing of Swiffing...lots of carpet at previous rentals. It seems pretty amazing, as I've always heard!

The light fixture works, BTW! I was thrilled with the leaf motif (which IS fun to say/write)

Badum is pretty mellow and quick to adapt. I think he misses his dog sister--he's always waiting at the door for me when I get home, sometimes talking to me through the door when I'm just getting up the steps, in fact. There's really good energy here, too; we both can feel that!Greghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14337889899066280559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12541532.post-1464724490578994242008-09-11T09:38:00.000-04:002008-09-11T09:38:00.000-04:00Yes, I believe 'swiffing' is the verb. Nice that the light fixture seems to have a leaf motif (that's fun to say); images of growing, healthy nature seem to permeate your new nest. Badum seems to be showing few signs of distress at the move as well, and that either suggests he's a very mellow fellow, or the energy of the place is good. Or both, I suppose, they're not mutually exclusive.
Have fun with the painting. Yet another way to make a fresh start.Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10556860299477514075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12541532.post-80961098448825324492008-09-10T19:17:00.000-04:002008-09-10T19:17:00.000-04:00It's great to see how you're moving forward. Remember to take it easy as well. As much as you are excited about the new digs and painting, you have to let your body rest or you'll be coming down with something fast during this change of seasons. My god, you are such an example of courage and Life. You keep going and filling up your life with all the things you love. Because that's how YOU live. That's who you are. I loved the cat in the chair and the light fixture that you love...I mean, it's all precious Greg. You have moved me to tears by your courage and willingness to take risks and make tough choices and to find beauty in a ceiling light fixture (this is lovely) and balcony garden even in your pain. That my friend is GREAT courage. I want you to know that, because maybe no has told you. I am glad you are in the world!
