Here's a close up and personal look at a milkweed blossom, the first to open amongst the many milkweed plants in and around the back gardens. They're a little wierd and exotic looking, for having what some might think is a dull-colored flower. Still, I think they're kind of cool looking, and they are absolutely an important host plant for an assortment of butterflies and insects, so I'm glad to have them.
