All day yesterday we enjoyed regular bouts of torrential rains. There was a break late in the evening, which made the trip home from work pleasant. As Ophelia moved closer toward us, they renewed suddenly around 1:30, and continued more or less throughout the wee hours. Need a new rain gauge, but estimates on TV suggested 3 to 5 inches, and that seems reasonable.

Dayflower.
A sunflower fallen.
Mums.
Of course, there are those who thrive in the newly moist conditions.
