The bed was too far away, so either got too much or not enough water...and the sun exposure was, I realized after planting was done, not quite as full as such a bed might enjoy. But at the feet of these failed others, another crop has thrived.


It turns out, the bed seems to offer exactly the right conditions for foxglove, which has seeded itself here like crazy. I probably stirred up the seeds when I turned the bed over, as there's a bit of the stuff growing nearby. Some I'll leave to grow and bloom here, but I've been transplanting some of these fellows out to other places in the garden, too.
