(I'm late in posting these pictures, as it's now 8/11/06, but I will back-date these to the approximate dates when they were taken. We were dealing with heat waves and funerals and traffic and workshifts...and I just couldn't bring myself to spend extra time sitting in front of the computer.)

The first Casablanca Lily opens, despite chewed leaves offering evidence of the red lily leaf beetle (whom I noticed after taken the photo was perched on the tip of the flower's pistil).
