It's only right to confess that this year I sort of abandoned the garden. The fall season at work came on fast and there were plenty of other things to distract, as well. However, I'm happy to report that the cosmos absolutely thrive on such neglect. Here they are mingling with the seedheads of the pink beebalm of August.
