Even crossing the shoulder of Blue Mountain, the snow was little more than set dressing...and just a little early in the season for my taste. Glad to say the weather improved as I moved to lower altitudes.

As I drove alongside the sweep of the Hudson River, the sun began to come out, and while there was still a little chill in the air, the snow was now a distant thing (tho still visible on the distant mountaintop).

The angle of the autumn sun was just right for showing off the bright colors of the Berkshires as I picked up the Mass Pike later in the day.
