After a cold, gray and rainy week, the sun returned this morning. It still wasn't warm exactly, thanks to a freshening breeze...but the sun was bright and kind of nice, just the same, in between breezy gusts.
To celebrate the sun's return, I made the trip to work a little longer today, in search of some crocuses to photograph for Easter weekend. I'd been hearing for a few years about a house along Tonset Road in Orleans that has a yard-full of the little beauties, and it seemed like a nice day to find them. Unfortunately, the ones I'd heard about had probably gone past thanks to the cold. You can see some of those I did find above (on Locust Road, by the cable TV office) have passed, but I cropped most of those out of the photo.

However, I did follow Tonset Road to its end, which overlooks the cove east toward the Atlantic. A pretty nice view as a reward for following a new path!
As an extra reward to you, Faithful Blog Readers, I offer you a bit of Easter fun, courtesy of my friend Jenn's crafting website...and this terrific Peep Garland project she recently completed. Pretty cool, huh?
