Through all these rainy days, we've had a pot of Easter hyacinths in the living room. They have come completely into bloom over the weekend, and are delightfully overpowering us with their luscious scent.

Almost makes up for being stuck inside.

Outside, the first of those hyacinths has opened, and adds the scent to the damp air of the back yard, even as a bears a spattering of mud from last night's downpour.

We seemed to be in the eye of this big storm today, as the weather cleared off and was actually pretty nice for such things as marathons and golf tournaments.

This was good news, especially since astronomical high tide was this afternoon, on the commute to work. First Encounter Marsh seemed full to the brim and the water was close as I crossed over Boat Creek Marsh.

The sky at Rock Harbor corner stole my breath for a moment as I headed in to work.
