Not far away, this pale golden lily is blooming for the first time. This was a damaged bulb when planted, and it's taken two summers before this to recover, but it was a lovely surprise today...and the first of our lilies for this summer.

Thursday's New Arrivals
Well, okay, they haven't arrived, per se, as they've been here all along...but their moment is now, anyway. Today, the first of the Shasta daisies are unfurling their flower petals, as their long stalks sway on the breeze.
Not far away, this pale golden lily is blooming for the first time. This was a damaged bulb when planted, and it's taken two summers before this to recover, but it was a lovely surprise today...and the first of our lilies for this summer.
