Greetings From Provincetown
After a long and hot afternoon, I had the pleasure of driving to the Outer Cape this evening, to visit some friends staying in North Truro.
There was a fantastic breeze coming off the water for this hot and hazy sunset.
Here's Kelly and Carol. We had a terrific visit--can't wait to see you both again!
At one point in the evening, we discovered this praying mantis climbing on the outside of the hotel. I can't remember if I've ever seen one "in person" before. What a fantastic creature.
We were wondering about their habitat, and whether this was an unusual siting (or a stowaway in Adirondack-based lawn chairs), but it turns out they are fairly ubiquitous and occur just about everywhere, so who knows?
