Stormy Weather
I stopped at First Encounter Beach late this afternoon for a look at the bay. It was mostly my imagination, I'm sure, than any hint of the weekend's sand sculptures remained behind, after a full day of rain. And then a thunderstorm with some heavy rain blew in off the bay waters, bringing a few degrees more of heat than we'd seen earlier.
I followed the storm across town to Nauset Light Beach and the Atlantic. The rain in the air and the dark clouds created a terrific atmosphere for a few good shots of our Eastham lighthouse.
And despite the still rumbling thunder in the distance, surfers bobbed offshore, awaiting that perfect wave.
