Rainy Day Tuesday

It was a rainy, rainy day here, dark and dismal.

I'm a big fan of crows, and here on Not Wisteria Lane, I've observed that they like to sit on the fence on the corner on rainy days.

Today I thought I'd get the best of them and surprise them with a few snapshots as I passed casually by in a non-threatening kind of way.

But they say crows are pretty smart...

...and it appears that my quest to capture a good shot of these crows has just begun, although this in-flight image doesn't totally suck.

I'll have to begin plying them with cracked corn and sunflower seeds and so on and see if I can't get on their good side.

Other recent wildlife sitings of note include a second male cardinal and a rather large rabbit on the lawn diagonally across the street from us.

And tonight, Emily believes that some unknown creature has moved into the basement of her doghouse. Of course, after a morning watching Jerry Springer, she also now believes she's a food fetishist.
