Sunday

The Greater Scaups continue to make a comfortable home on our pond, despite the arrival during my absence this past week of a noisy pair of Canadian geese. I've yet to spot them, but they were easy to hear early this morning.

Today marks my one-year Blogo-versary!! Yep, I've been chronicling the garden here for a year now! From this point on, it should be easy to make comparisons in the growing season (with last year's photographic record for a benchmark), and it sure has been fun making such a record of things. Spent the day "celebrating" the occasion by working in the garden, tidying up some of the front beds, and then finding enough hose to bring more water than pickle buckets will accomodate to the back gardens...since we've had no rain for about a week. Everything's well watered back there now, and I also managed to use some old lumber to create at least the beginnings of some better support for the many grapevines back there.
Typical of the Garden, everywhere my eye falls I find two or three future projects, but I'll continue to plug along with time I find here and there to see what I can do to make this year's show even better!
