Krogman's Pond in the Rain

Krogman's Pond, Eastham MA. They say it's great weather for ducks, but I haven't seen a feather of the Scaups since the rain came. Even they seem to have enough sense to stay inside somewhere. No sign nor sound of the geese for a day or two, either--they were mostly likely only weekenders on their way somewhere further north. The peepers, on the other hand, are absolutely loving the rain and sound louder and closer each night. Sometimes their calls sound like crickets, but sometimes it can also sound a bit like computers used to on old TV shows like "The Twilight Zone" and "Lost in Space."
