While prowling the garden early this morning, I heard some rustling and discovered this fellow. An eastern box turtle, this one's shell has apparently been repaired by some local wildlife rehabilitation group. A friend suggests the work looks familiar.
And here's one of our tufted titmouse neighbors, who are apparently raising a family in one of the birdboxes on the western side of the house.
