May Showers

Another rainy Saturday on the Cape for us today. Hard to get much done before work, save a quick run out to the greenhouse to water seedlings and look out the window at the beds in progress.
Pond's creeping into the meadow, making everything there squidgy. Interesting to watch the holes from digging seedlings for transplant (black eyed susans, sweet william, yarrow) fill themselves in as days go by and the water level creeps closer. Posted by Hello

As you can see, the rain isn't an issue for this cheery planter full of violas!
Found a new crop of rocks at a nearby construction site. They were nice enough to push them all to the edge of the property when they graded for the parking lot! Should be just enough to finish out the bed of peonies and beach roses in the back garden.
