We found Saturday morning to be bright and sunny here in Eastham. Last night as the storm passed over, we saw a high temperature of about 64 near midnight...and true to the forecasters' words, it cooled off today...back down to the comfortable low 50s we'd been enjoying all week!

It was a beautiful morning to be outside, and so it seemed like a good idea to check out the Christmas concert and Tree Sale over at NRHS. They had a great assortment of trees, all pretty reasonably priced and nice and fresh.

The music was pretty great--I was sorry to miss my Honors Choir friends perform, but the band was pretty terrific.

Here's the little tree I selected to join us for the celebrations. Of course, I'm one of those traditionalists who thinks the tree shouldn't come into the house and be decorated until much closer to Christmas Day. So for now, he's resting comfortably in a bucket of fresh cool water. It's a much more shapely tree than this picture represents...the netting tore during transit.

As the lovely day progressed, our temperature has subsided to a more reasonable...and seasonable...40 degrees. Still not so cold, but certainly cool enough to justify a fire on the hearth!
