Garden Visitors

The spirea bushes are making pink clouds of tiny blossoms as June turns to July.

The first day of the month also brought some visitors to the garden, as the Midnight Gardener welcomed friends Lori and Sebastian.

Thumper George enjoyed the extra attention almost as much as he enjoyed the extra pink clover to munch on.

The Midnight Gardener learns a lesson about letting a 6 year old wander off with a digital camera: the lesson is that you'll get some pretty good pictures, or at least funny ones.

We did a bit of exploring around the yard and gardens.

Looking for frogs in the meadow.

The milkweed are all in bloom, and I guess I never noticed what a sweet scent they have! Here's the first honeybee of the season, toiling alongside a bumblebee on one of the fragrant blossoms.
