I must confess I don't know the variety by name, but these lovely pink flowers are blossoms on one of the ornamental cherry trees currently blooming outside the restaurant where I work.

Purty, huh? : )

Mother's Day is one of my favorite days. I always enjoy the watery coffee, dry toast and soggy cereal that constitutes breakfast in bed, on a tray with a small vase that was my grandmothers. Lily has always found some little flowers for it. This year I worked in the vegetable garden Jack gave me. We planted more peas, spinach and potatoes. I had an epiphany while wrist deep in rabbit poop. Parenting and gardening have many similarities. They both take patience and love. They "blossom" with lots of attention. The finished product is well worth the effort! I have enjoyed your blog very much. It is a nice way to end a busy day. Thank You. Jennifer
