Well, I can't believe I keep forgetting to mention this. As Spring goes, it's sort of huge. On Sunday morning, I was watering the gardens out back, enjoying the way the water sparkled in the bright sunshine. Suddenly, my ears sounded the Large Bee Approaching alarm...but then, it was a hyperactive little ruby-throated hummingbird who appeared, buzzing around, checking out the garden, zipping through the hose spray. And then, as quickly as he'd appeared, he darted off into the woods again, as I called after him with a promise to hang a feeder and plant some red flowers real soon.
Topic change: If you're in a surfing mood, check out Elvis the Boxwood at the Blah Blah Blog, for the perfect garden entryway feature. I want one. And if you've got a few minutes, the April 20th entry is a good read, too.

I am really loving all your garden photos! Thanks for sharing them with us. Since moving to Arizona my green thumbs turned brown and I don't have much going on in the yard. If it weren't for the orange trees blooming I don't think I'd even know that Spring had come and gone. We do have lots of hummers though.
