So this morning, I'll offer you this image of our rainy meadow, looking out toward the pond. Fresh green growth is beginning to overtake last year's brown remains with each drop of rain.

And so, other plans are necessary for the weekend. I'll be headed into work very shortly, but for those of you trapped in the house with no opportunity to garden and nothing to do, I suggest you consider other ideas.
Read a book, rent a movie, watch the Saturday morning garden offerings on HGTV...aw heck, dig out that box of LEGOs you've been neglecting. If surfing the Web is your game, then feel free to browse through some of the online links I've listed to the right, as I did last night.
It's true, the gardens of Vita Sackville-West at Sissinghurst Castle (pictured below) are possibly beyond our means...but at some point, even those started as simply as any of our own (excepting of course, for the castle and the moat) and can still inspire us.
For this weekend, at least, live in the Garden of Your Fantasies, but make notes of the things you like best, so you'll remember when the rains have passed.
