After a nice break yesterday afternoon, our storminess resumed last evening and has continued throughout the day, occasionally pretty heavily.
My thoughts tonight are with everyone at Virginia Tech who had the most dreadful Monday morning imaginable yesterday. I wish them strength and courage and above all else, peace.
And I'm also thinking about all this rain, and about our planet, having finally watched "An Inconvenient Truth" this morning. What a powerful 96 minutes! It's terrifying, but also heartening, in that there is a potential happy ending: if enough people (and the Rights ones) can recognize that we are already facing the consequences of Global Warming, it is possible to make changes that can reverse some of the problem. Al Gore, you're my new hero!
I can't encourage you strongly enough to see this movie. Don't forget, you can "rent" it for free through your local library, though you may have to put yourself on a waiting list!
Do not delay! SEE THIS MOVIE!

Sorry Greg, I can't do it - I can't see Inconvenient truth. Don't worry, I'm already a global warming convert, but I think it will give me nightmares for weeks to come - just like seeing all those people in the white lifejackets bobbing in the ocean in the movie titanic. :-/
Nice cat picture though.
